Allyson is an experienced nursing professional with a passion for elevating nursing excellence through the creation and sustainment of structures and frameworks that support the nursing profession and foster growth. Her expertise and experience lies in professional governance formation and support, ANCC Pathway to Excellence document writing and revision, nurse peer review and nurse engagement.

 

Her nursing career started in 2015 and throughout this time she has remained an advocate for nursing excellence. Her time in nursing leadership started in 2020 and most recently she served as a Pathway Program Director, Magnet Program Director and a Nursing Excellence Program Manager. Her experience from these roles has led to her cultivating her skills and knowledge regarding the ANCC Pathway to Excellence and Magnet frameworks, professional governance, document writing and revision, clinical inquiry, and nurse peer review. 

 

She graduated with her undergraduate degree from Charleston Southern University in May 2015. In 2022, she graduated with high distinction from Chamberlain University with her Master of Science in Nursing degree. She is board certified in medical-surgical nursing and has presented her work at both local and international conferences. In addition, she was one of 100 nurses to be recognized with the Palmetto Gold Nursing Award in the state of South Carolina in the year of 2024.
